The third generation of the Volkswagen Tiguan goes on sale from July 1 with pricing starting at R521 000 for the base version.
Launched in the South African market for the first time in 2008, the Tiguan has sold more than 6-million units globally since launch and 41 000 units in South Africa. The Tiguan was the best-selling medium SUV in South Africa in 2020, with 4 280 units sold and a 16,2% share of the A SUV segment.

The new Tiguan joins the T-Cross, T-Roc, Tiguan Allspace and the Touareg in Volkswagen’s T-SUV model range in Southern Africa.
The new Tiguan now has a sharper exterior design, new technological highlights and a host of new interior features.
It will be available in the following derivatives; 1.4 TSI 110kW, 1.4 TSI 110kW DSG Life, 1.4 TSI 110kW DSG R-Line, 2.0 TDI 130kW 4MOTION DSG R-Line (the diesel derivative will be available from Volkswagen dealers from the fourth quarter) and the top-of-the-range 2.0 TSI 162kW 4MOTION DSG R-Line.

The Volkswagen Tiguan comes standard with a 3 year/120 000 km warranty, 5 year/ 90 000 km Volkswagen Service Plan and a 12-year anti-corrosion warranty. The service interval is 15 000 km.
